Gene Federico: Modern Relationship Between Type and Photography in Ads
Research Project
Studying graphic design history I had a unique project that allowed me to dive into typography. For the project, I was tasked to research Gene Federico’s work; specifically how he manipulated typography in combination with images. Compiling the resources into an annotated bibliography with a graphic designer twist my focus was to highlight his work in magazines and give the final product a similar feel. Using InDesign I created page spreads much like his magazines; utilizing paragraph and character styles, page layouts, and many more of InDesigns extensive tools.
